Micro surfacing project set to begin
(ADA, OKLAHOMA/November 10, 2025) ? Several streets in town will close temporarily as crews make improvements.
A micro surfacing project will begin on Thursday, November 13th, and proceed over the next several days. Streets impacted should only be closed for a few hours on their designated day.
Streets included in the project are as follows:
* South Harvey Avenue (between East 12th and East 14th Streets)
* South Hillcrest Avenue (between East 14th Street and East Kirby Drive)
* SE County Road (between East 18th Street and Timber Terrace)
* East 14th Street (between Francis Avenue and South Stadium Drive)
* East 16th Street (between South Broadway Avenue and South Mississippi Avenue)
* East 12th Street (between South Hillcrest and South Monte Vista)
* Webb Avenue (between Arlington Street and East Woodland Drive)
* Price Avenue (between Arlington Blvd. and East 7th Street)
* North Hillcrest Avenue (between Arlington Blvd. and East Kirby Drive)
* North Johnston Avenue (between West 10th and West 4th Streets)
* East Beverly Street (between North Francis Avenue and St. Joseph Catholic Church)
* Lonnie Abbott Blvd. (between Aldi Entrance and Tinker Federal Credit Union)
* Lonnie Abbott Blvd. (between North Mississippi Avenue and West Entrance of North Hills Shopping Center)
* West 4th Street (between North Oak Avenue and North Townsend Avenue)
Micro surfacing is a surface treatment designed to extend the life of asphalt pavement in good condition by providing skid resistance, restricting moisture intrusion, protecting the structure from further oxidation and raveling, and restoring a uniform black appearance. Micro surfacing boasts quick construction times and minimal disruption to the traveling public.
