Strong understanding of housing markets, economic development principles and growth trend. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and securing funding. Prefer 3-5 years of experience in economic development, community development, business administration, or a related field. Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification or ability to obtain within a specific time frame.?

Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the Planning & Zoning Coordinator is responsible for the current and long-range planning, development, and implementation of land use, growth management and related policies, housing and dilapidated policy, administering and enforcement of zoning, subdivision, code enforcement, floodplain management, and other ordinances in the City. Administers and updates the Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision Regulations, and Zoning Ordinance and other ordinances as necessary.

Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field preferred. Three (3) years or more of municipal planning experience preferred. An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

License/Certificate

1. Possession of a Class D Oklahoma driver's license by date of appointment.
