Applications for the Business Improvement Grant now being accepted (ADA, OKLAHOMA/March 29, 2022) ? Ada businesses can now apply for Round 3 of the Business Improvement Grant to improve the appearance and performance of their property with applications due no later than April 14, 2022. Grants will be matched by up to 50% of the pre-approved project?s cost, not to exceed $5,000 in total grant funding. The Business Improvement Grant was started in 2018 through a collaborative partnership with the City of Ada, Ada Jobs Foundation, and Ada Main Street. The program is structured to create matching grants of up to $5,000 each year to commercial or mixed-use properties in the downtown and Main Street areas of Ada. Since the program?s inception, there has been over $433,000 of total investment created in the downtown area of Ada by Business Improvement Grant projects. ?The Business Improvement Grant has provided excellent results based on the hard work and joint efforts of Ada Main Street, Ada Jobs Foundation, and the City of Ada,? stated BIG Grant Chairman Jim Lawson. ?We continue to work with property owners to improve our city and make it a destination location for numerous activities. Shopping with our local Main Street businesses generates a substantial amount of revenue for our city.?
