Storm Damage Updates

Early this morning a severe storm came through Ada causing significant damage to structures, power lines, gas lines, and trees.

Emergency personnel are working diligently around town to assess the damage and getting roads open so critical services can access the area.

As of now, there are currently more than 5,000 without power. There is one reported injury, and 24 displaced families. Red Cross has been notified.

Main Street is currently closed to the public and will remain so. Area law enforcement will be out in force all around the city providing extra patrol throughout the day & night.

Afternoon update...

OG&E continues to work on power outages.

If you are displaced from your home due to damage from the storm (lack of electricity does not count), you can contact Ada Homeless Services for assistance. They will stay open until 7 pm this evening and will open at 9 am tomorrow. 317 W. 12th.

If you are soliciting, regardless of the service you provide, you must obtain a permit through the City of Ada at 231 S. Townsend before approaching businesses or residential properties.

Local law enforcement agencies will be out in force providing extra patrol throughout the afternoon and overnight hours!

Morning update 3/5/25


As of this morning, there are 2,987 homes/businesses without power. OG&E is working diligently to restore power.


The Red Cross is currently set up at Trinity Baptist Church (123 N. Mississippi) between 8 am and 6 pm this evening. They are offering comfort care including snacks and a chance to charge your phones.


If you need help with major clean up at your home or business due to storm debris etc., you can fill out an application at okdisasterhelp.org through Southern Baptist Relief. They are currently in town at the First Baptist Church (521 S. Broadway).


East Central University will remain closed for the rest of the week.

Afternoon Update 3/5/25


OG&E expects to have customers without power to be back online by tomorrow night at 10:00 pm (March 6). They have mobilized additional crews who are on the ground working around the clock to restore power to everyone.

Rennie (between 12th and 13th Streets) is closed until further notice.
