Micro surfacing project set to begin (ADA, OKLAHOMA/July 8, 2023) ? Several streets in town will close temporarily as crews make improvements. . The micro surfacing project will begin on Tuesday, July 11 and proceed over the next several days. Streets impacted should only be closed for a few hours on their designated day. Streets included in the project are as follows: * North Oak Avenue (between West Main and West Cottage) * West Second Street (between Hickory and Oak) * North Stockton Avenue (between West 6th and West 7th) * Monte Vista Road (between East 14th and Arlington) * Monte Vista Road (between Arlington and East Lonnie Abbott) * East 18th Street (between South Mississippi and South Francis) * East 14th Street (between South Broadway and South Mississippi) * Clemons Drive (south end to East 18th) * Texas Avenue (between East Gardena and Lonnie Abbott) * Country Club Road (East 12th and North Crownpoint) Micro surfacing is a surface treatment designed to extend the life of asphalt pavement in good condition by providing skid resistance, restricting moisture intrusion, protecting the structure from further oxidation and raveling, and restoring a uniform black appearance. Micro surfacing boasts quick construction times and minimal disruption to the traveling public. This project is funded by Proposition 1. Your tax dollars at work.
