Micro surfacing project set to begin (ADA, OKLAHOMA/August 22, 2024) ? Several streets in town will close temporarily as crews make improvements. The micro surfacing project will begin on Monday, August 26 and proceed over the next several days. Streets impacted should only be closed for a few hours on their designated day. Streets included in the project are as follows: * Richardson Drive (between Kerr Lab and Broadway Blvd.) * East Central Blvd. (between Stadium Drive and Cradduck Rd.) * East 18th Street (between Country Club and S.E. County Rd.) * Arlington Blvd. (between Webb and Arlington) * North Francis (between Orchard and Gardena) * East 6th Street (between Mississippi and Turner) * North Turner (between East 6th and Main Street) * North Hope (between East 6th and East 10th) * East 12th Street (between Mississippi and Rennie) * East 10th Street (between Mississippi and Hope) * West 18th Street (between Hickory and Stockton) * West Main Street (between Oak and Ash) Micro surfacing is a surface treatment designed to extend the life of asphalt pavement in good condition by providing skid resistance, restricting moisture intrusion, protecting the structure from further oxidation and raveling, and restoring a uniform black appearance. Micro surfacing boasts quick construction times and minimal disruption to the traveling public. This project is funded by Proposition 1. Your tax dollars at work.
