This position will perform skilled and
semi-skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and related service
activities for the city's cemeteries; to perform a variety of ground
maintenance services including mowing, irrigation, turf and general equipment
maintenance; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of
responsibility.
Perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction and
repair work in the area of work assigned.
Apply herbicides, pesticides and
other chemicals in a safe manner. Operate and maintain grounds maintenance and
repair equipment. Respond to inquiries
and complaints from the public
in a tactful manner.
Operate a variety of landscaping tools and equipment including backhoes, mowers,
trucks and
power tools such as chain saws,
blowers, welders and weed eaters.
Perform
a variety of manual tasks for extended
periods of time and in unfavorable weather conditions.
Follow all safety rules and regulations of the division to which assigned.
Communicate clearly and concisely.
Field environment; exposure to dust and dirt, hazards associated
with operating a motor vehicle, various chemicals including
fertilizers and pesticides, toxic materials, contagious herbage diseases
including poison oak and inclement weather conditions.

The individual selected will be required to perform specialized clerical work requiring knowledge of the principles to perform accounting clerical work in utility billing and collections for the Finance Division; to assist in the maintenance of related accounting information; and to provide accounting support to division or department staff. The responsibilities of this position include prepare and maintain financial and accounting records, accurately count, record and balance accounting transactions. One year of office experience is desirable. Assist with the distribution of utility billing; process customer requests for utility connections and disconnections; process delinquent account notifications; identify delinquent accounts and discontinue services when appropriate. Receive payments from customers at counter; assist customers in establishing closing or transferring utility services; answer questions and provide information to customers both at counter, drive through window and on telephone. Conduct a variety of cashier duties including receiving payments and balancing payments received, collecting the night depository. Answer questions and provide information to the public, outside agencies and other divisions and departments; respond to inquiries over the phone and in person; receive citizen/customer feedback questions and resolve or refer to appropriate division staff member when necessary. oversee and coordinate the planning and zoning functions and activities within
the Community Development Division; to implement program goals and objectives;
and to perform a variety of professional, technical, and administrative duties
to support the division. Under the direction of the Community Development
Director, the Planning & Zoning Coordinator is responsible for the current
and long-range planning, development, and implementation of land use, growth
management and related policies, housing and dilapidated policy, administering
and enforcement of zoning, subdivision, code enforcement, floodplain
management, and other ordinances in the City. Administers and updates the
Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision Regulations, and Zoning Ordi-nance and other
ordinances as necessary.
Bachelor?s Degree in
Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field preferred.? Three (3) years or more of municipal planning
experience preferred.? An acceptable combination
of education, training, and experience will be considered.?
License/Certificate
1. Possession of a Class D Oklahoma driver's
