Free Community Flu Clinic

Community flu clinic Dec. 14 The Chickasaw Nation Department of Health will host a community flu clinic, at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center, Thursday, Dec. 14. The clinic will be free and open to anyone in the community, Native and non-Native. Children are also eligible to receive the flu shot. Getting vaccinated also protects people around you, including those who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness, including infants, children, older people and people with certain chronic health issues. Yearly flu vaccination is the best tool currently available to protect against influenza. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu.
