The City of Ada is accepting applications until filled for Full-Time Communications Dispatcher.  Individuals selected will be responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency dispatch services for the 911 emergency dispatch center for the City of Ada and Pontotoc County fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical services. Individuals selected must be able to pass pre-employment tests for job compatibility assessment, including a typing test with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute, and be able to multi-task with telephone, radio, and computer.  Successful applicants must be able to make quick decisions and provide quality customer service and communication, both orally and in writing, and must be able to work day, evening, midnight shifts and holidays.  Preference will be given to certified dispatcher applicants.
