The City of Ada is accepting applications until filled for Communications/911 Manager.  This is an administrative and highly technical position responsible for the administration, maintenance, upkeep, and proper operation of the Emergency 911 call system.  The individual in this position supervises a staff of professional and technical personnel.  The successful applicant must possess or obtain within one year the following certifications: OLETS, Basic Telecommunicator, and Emergency Medical Dispatcher.  Preference will be given to individuals with a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, two or more years of supervisory experience, and three years of technical experience with a Public Safety Communications system.  Comparable experience with advanced military communications system may be substituted for public safety experience.   The individual selected must be able to pass pre-employment tests for job compatibility assessment tools, and be able to multi-task with telephone, radio, and computer.
