City of Ada names new Engineering Project Manager (ADA, OKLAHOMA/September 28, 2023) ? Shelly Williams has been named the new Engineering Project Manager for the City of Ada. Her duties will include overseeing all capital improvement projects and contracts for the COA. Ms. Williams grew up in Ada and attended Ada High School. She received a Business Administration Degree from East Central University, and later a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Previously, she worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) for 32 years. She retired as the Local Government Division Engineer and oversaw more than $300 million in city and county projects annually. Williams has one daughter and one son. Her daughter is studying Civil Engineering at the University of Oklahoma just like her mom. She also has a dog named Rip, and a cat named Willow. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, jeeping, and reigning horses. Ms. Williams is very passionate about seat belt safety and even recorded a PSA for the State of Oklahoma. ?I am really enjoying the people at the City of Ada,? stated Williams. ?We?ve got a great team to continue moving the City of Ada forward.?
