Ada City Council Announces Selection of New City Manager (ADA, OKLAHOMA/April 3, 2024) ? The Ada City Council is pleased to announce the selection of Tracy Roles as the new City Manager for Ada, Oklahoma. The decision was made after a lengthy search and screening process conducted by members of the City Council to replace outgoing city manager, Cody Holcomb. Mayor Randy McFarlin expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We are excited to welcome Tracy Roles as City Manager of Ada. His extensive background in leadership and his commitment to community development assures that he will be an exceptional addition to our team." A proud native of Ada, Tracy Roles is an alum of Latta High School and East Central University. His public service career began in law enforcement, where he garnered over 15 years of supervisory and upper management experience. Holding a master?s degree in public administration, Roles currently serves as the Assistant City Manager in Bartlesville, OK, where his oversight extends across multiple departments, including fire and police, municipal aviation, golf course management, economic development, and contract negotiations. Prior to that appointment, he served as Bartlesville?s Chief of Police for five years.? Roles is scheduled to begin his duties as Ada?s City Manager on May 2nd. ?I?m very excited for this opportunity and am looking forward to working with the team in Ada,? said Roles. ?Ada is ?home? to me and I?m ready to get back there and get started,? he said.
