  • at: Ada Public Library; 124 S. Rennie

A library card is the coolest card – September is Library Card Sign-up Month (Ada, Oklahoma) – When we think of back to school, paper, pencils and backpacks come to mind, however, studies show that children who are read to in the home and who use the library perform better in school. That is why the Ada Public Library along with the American Library Association and public libraries around the nation have declared September is Library Card Sign-up Month. We want to make sure that every student has the most import school supply of all – a free library card. To receive your library card, which will allow full access to all the library’s resources, bring a photo ID along with proof of current mailing address to the library’s Circulation Desk located at 124 S. Rennie, Ada. In addition, for patrons who have lost their card, the library will be waiving the $2 replace card fee from August 31-September 13, 2015. Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, as library cards numbers will be required to access the public computers in the near future. For more information, call 580-436-8124.
