October 1, 2015 City of Ada names new Public Safety director ADA – Jeff Crosby, who has served as Ada’s assistant chief of police since 2011, will take on a new role as the city’s Public Safety director. Crosby’s appointment is effective immediately. He will be responsible for the overall administration, strategic planning, and financial oversight of the department, which includes emergency management and employee safety. Crosby graduated from East Central University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He has been with the Ada Police Department for more than 34 years. “I am excited to begin working in this new role and honored to accept this position,” Crosby said.
