May 15, 2017 Rosedale Cemetery to host Memorial Day tribute ADA – Rosedale Cemetery, located at 2020 Egypt Road in Ada will host a Memorial Day tribute on Monday, May 29 to honor all of the American soldiers who have died defending their country during military service or those who have served. The service will begin with prayer at 9:00 a.m. and will feature a cemetery ceremony by the American Legion and conducted by retired U.S. Army veterans, Dr. Rich Putnam, and James Kercheval. The Chickasaw National Honor Guard will present the 21-gun salute, and a live rendition of TAPS will be played. The Combat Infantryman Association will also be present. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, originally known as Decoration Day.
